Shang Properties Inc. (SPI) continues to redefine the industry with its latest venture, Shang Summit in Quezon City, offering residents the pinnacle of comfort and its brand signatures.
2023 was a historic year for SPI, surpassing pre-pandemic figures and marked by the launch of two award-winning developments: Laya by Shang Properties and Haraya Residences, both in Pasig City. Previously, the developer introduced new properties only every few years.
In 2024, Shang Properties is set to celebrate two significant milestones: its first development in Quezon City with Shang Summit, and an inaugural project in Cebu, the Queen City of the South.
The 80-story Shang Summit will be a crowning achievement for Shang Properties, setting a new record as the tallest residential development in the Philippines. The dual towers, designed by architectural firm P&T Group and with interior design led by FM Architettura, will rise over 250 meters in height.
“Shang Properties is committed to offering luxurious living experiences that cater to a wide demographic, including multi-generational families and should be accessible to everyone,” said Che Diaz, Shang Properties executive vice president for commercial, during the project’s media launch in Taguig City on July 23, 2024.
“The East Tower, which we will be launching this year, will grace the Quezon City skyline at 250 meters in height, with 80 stories and 1,020 beautifully appointed units offering spectacular panoramic views,” she added. According to Diaz, the second tower will feature 900 units, with pricing approximately P280,000 per square meter.
A new icon in the metro
Shang Properties is extending its portfolio of luxurious residential developments with Shang Summit in Quezon City, expanding beyond its established locations in Makati, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, Mandaluyong, and Pasig.
Quezon City is an ideal location for this new Shang Properties development due to its strategic position as a hub for business, residential, cultural, and governmental activities. With ongoing projects such as the MRT-7, Skyway Stage 3, and Metro Manila Subway, the city is set to become a center for next-generation infrastructure, according to Rose Morales, senior director for group sales.
Nestled in the serene enclave of South Triangle, Quezon City, the new development strikes a perfect balance between privacy and convenience. Shang Summit will epitomize modern condominium living with its array of upscale amenities. Residents will enjoy a tropical swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, wellness facilities, and co-working lounges.
The development also features extensive play areas for children, a sophisticated lounge, and the Shang Summit Gallery for elegant relaxation and social gatherings. Additionally, The Alcove will offer quiet spaces ideal for work or study.
To spark joy and inspiration, Shang Properties is welcoming more Filipinos by serving to a broader range of market demographics with the wide array of units available at Shang Summit. Upholding its promise of exclusivity while being inclusive, SPI is reaching diverse geographic markets and a wide spectrum of buyers.
Single-income households, such as young professionals, can avail themselves of studio units. Early nesters will appreciate the one-bedroom spaces, and retirees can enjoy the two- and three-bedroom units.
“There’s something for everyone. Of course, there’s also the grand promise that when we turn over the unit, we want people to live there stress-free. We have our own property management team that caters to them,” Diaz said.
“Our property management has the discipline of the hotel; even our team for property management actually comes from the Shang hotels group. We make it a point from the time they choose to invest in us, whether they plan to live there or are end users, to remain true to our brand promise: serving all demographics and ensuring there’s something for everyone,” she added.
Jayme Uy, director for marketing, emphasizes the importance of the living experience in a Shang property, saying, “The Shang brand doesn’t end with the sale. It actually starts and further develops once people live in our units. It’s a Shang lifestyle. It’s a Shang experience. We are very keen on making sure that experience is felt by each and every buyer.”
World-class design
Globally renowned firms P&T Group and FM Architettura have designed Shang Summit with a global design approach enhanced by Filipino accents, seamlessly blending both worlds. The towers will showcase modern elegance and exceptional design, perfectly suited to the global Filipino taste.
“Each of our projects is unique,” said Morales. “For Shang Summit, located in Quezon City, the biggest city in the metro, we want to cater to a lot of families. That’s why P&T Group and FM Architettura gave a world-class project that offers multi-generational amenities, which are not normally found in most of our other developments.”
A Shang property for discerning residents
Shang Summit complements Shang Properties’ existing portfolio of meticulously curated spaces, which includes Shang Residences and One Shangri-La Place in Mandaluyong; Horizon Homes at Shangri-La, The Fort, and Aurelia Residences in Bonifacio Global City; and Shang Salcedo Place, The Rise Makati, and The Shang Grand Tower in Makati, among others.
“In terms of SPI’s long-term goals, we’re also focused on acquiring new land in territories we’re not yet present in, like Cebu. If we look at the industry, there’s still an underserved market in the luxury segment,” Diaz explained.
“With the challenging times and evolving landscape, Shang Properties continues to be bullish yet cautiously optimistic, serving the steady market demand for luxury residential projects. We keep our promise and mission to build living spaces that go beyond generations. At the end of it all, it’s all in the details,” she concluded.
The projected turnover for Shang Summit is expected in 2030. Indicative average pricing for the units is as follows: studio units (37.03 to 39.33 sqm) at P11,052,725; one-bedroom units (51.09 to 70.82 sqm) at P18,615,872; two-bedroom units (88.23 to 125.69 sqm) at P32,548,155; three-bedroom units (158.56 to 159.76 sqm) at P56,143,163; and penthouse units (232.69 to 390.89 sqm) at P149,020,916.
