Quezon City’s skyline is about to get a massive update with the upcoming Shang Summit.
At over 250 meters tall with 80 floors, Shang Summit will be the tallest residential tower in the Philippines. This two-tower project is set to include nearly 2,000 residential units, ranging from studio apartments to expansive penthouses on a 6,000-square-meter lot in Quezon City’s South Triangle. The tower is also the first property project of Shang Properties, Inc. (SPI) in Quezon City, making it a flagship development in its portfolio.
Here’s a detailed look at what SPI is bringing to the table.
What to expect at Shang Summit
For most people, Shang Properties has a reputation for being aspirational—a brand synonymous with luxury living that seems out of reach for many. However, the company is now making strides to change to welcome more into the fold.
“Shang Properties prides itself with its commitment in offering a luxurious living experience that caters to a wide demographic. We believe that luxury should be accessible to everyone, this is the vision behind our newest project, Shang Summit,” SPI Executive Vice President Maria Diaz said.
This approach is reflected in Shang Summit’s wide range of unit offerings, where sizes and prices are more accessible compared to other Shang properties. This makes it the kind of place you could actually see yourself calling home—and maybe even passing down to your children’s children.
As SPI puts it, Shang Summit is “an heirloom for generations.”
Thanks to its towering height, Shang Summit offers panoramic views from all directions. Some of the sights will include the Quezon City Memorial Circle, Manila Bay, Makati skyline, and Antipolo’s ranges.
But Shang Summit isn’t just another residential tower with fancy finishes. SPI is pulling out all the stops to ensure that residents have access to more than 4,700 square meters of amenities that cater to various lifestyles. The development will feature a tropical swimming pool, jacuzzi, cold plunge, fitness center, al fresco lounge areas, wellness facilities for yoga and pilates, play areas for children, a game room, and even co-working spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows. Add in its location in an old neighborhood of Quezon City and you’ve got an in-the-city feel that can’t be beat.
“What’s unique about Shang Summit is that the amenities were really curated to address different needs of the family members. We made sure we have something for everyone,” SPI Senior Director for Group Sales Rose Morales said.
With an anticipated sales value of close to P50 billion, Shang Summit is set to have the highest sales forecast for any Shang Properties project. As usual with luxury properties, the bigger units are always the first to sell on the market.
“As early as now, we’re seeing… a lot of inquiries for our bigger units, particularly the two- and three-bedroom units,” Morales said.
Much of the project is still in its early stages, but we do know that the first of the two towers—the East Tower—is slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2030.
The design is spearheaded by P&T Group, a global architecture firm known for its innovative and sustainable designs, along with FM Architettura, an Italian interior design company that specializes in luxury interiors. These are the same collaborators behind Haraya Residences, another Shang project.
Why Quezon City?
SPI noticed that many of its previous buyers hail from Quezon City. It is precisely for this reason that SPI stepped in with Shang Summit to meet the growing demand for upscale housing in the area—no need to flock to the South in search of space, Morales said.
Quezon City has long been the sleeper hit of Metro Manila’s luxury real estate scene—less crowded than Makati, less flashy than BGC, but steadily rising in value. Not to mention the bustling city has become a hub for government institutions, universities, medical centers, and next-generation transportation infrastructure such as the upcoming Metro Manila Subway and MRT-7.
Indicative pricing of Shang Summit
The first tower will offer 1,020 units, while the second will feature 900 units. Both are priced at approximately P280,000 per square meter, excluding value-added tax (VAT).
Below is the indicative pricing of each unit type:
- Studio – from P10.4 million to P11.6 million
- One-Bedroom – from P14.6 million to P22.6 million
- Two-Bedroom – from P26.8 million to P39.2 million
- Three-Bedroom – from P54.9 million to P57.2 million
- Penthouse – from P108.7 million to P182.6 million
“We’re confident that we’re offering the right price for excellent value. Even the appliances are included in the unit. Our goal is for our buyers to move in and feel immediately at home,” Diaz said.
